In order to audition for entrance into the School of Music and to be considered for possible scholarships, students must perform pieces demonstrating ability on keyboard percussion (two and four mallet selections are encouraged), snare drum (concert and rudimental selections are encouraged), timpani, and drumset. Sight-reading and an interview with the TCU percussion faculty will also be part of the audition process. In addition, students must also submit a resume, an essay (describing the part music plays in your life, and why you wish to study music at the university level), and two letters of recommendation from musical sources.
